White out causes wipe out
The weather put paid to any bowls being played over the weekend in the Manx Petroleum sponsored Outdoor Winter Bowling League with a covering of snow on Nobles No. 3 putting the action on hold.
The set of fixtures due to be played have now been rescheduled for Saturday 30 December, while ahead of this the Christmas tombola and round robin will be held on Saturday 23.
There is nothing planned by the club for Christmas Eve, whereas the usual midweek round robin will take place on Wednesday 27 December and another session on New Year’s Eve (Sunday 31).

In the merit standings, there are now just two undefeated players, with Stuart Garrett (Outsiders) having played two more games than Stefan Kelly (Jacks Off).
The leaders in the battle for honours on the ladies front are separated by 0.2 of a point, with Alison Keggen (Louie’s Angels) on 19.5, followed closely by Janet Monk (Mooragh Lakers) 19.4 and Jenny Moore (Lakers), along with Tricia Bull (Angels) on 19.3.
