Plate Knockout (handicaps in brackets): Quarter finals of the plate knockout took place on Thursday 10 July. Mooragh Park (+38) won 7-2 away to Douglas (+49), overall score 220-139 to Mooragh. Nobles (+28) won 9-0 at home against Ballaugh B (+69), overall score 217-142 to Nobles. Unfortunately, Castletown B were unable to play, therefore, South Ramsey progressed to the semi-finals.  Third quarter-final between Breagle Glen B (+51) and Peel (+53) was played on Thursday 17 July resulting in a 5-4 win for Peel and by six points (212-206).

Millennium Fours Competition: The Ladies Association Millennium Fours Competition was held at Mooragh Park on Saturday 12 July attracting an entry of eight 4’s. Getting through to the semi-finals were Helen Withers, Clare Cooper, Debbie Leece and Louise Tebay (Marown/Ballaugh) who played Michele Cubbon, Maria Dimsdale, Caroline Parker and Paula Garrett (Ballaugh/Douglas). The Marown/Ballaugh team won 2-1 on games and on points 40-23 points).  Second semi-final saw Lynda Cadamy, Philippa Taylor, Sue Gawne and Paula Firth (Marown/Nobles) take on Jayne Smith, Lyn Bolton, Zoe Pearson and Judy Kelly (Marown/South Ramsey). Although the Marown/Nobles team won on games they lost on points (40-43). This set up a Marown/Ballaugh vs Marown/South Ramsey final. With both teams playing well, the latter team won 2-1 on games and by 4 points.  Presentation of trophy was made by Chris Holland, Competition Secretary, who thanked the Mooragh for hosting the competition, all those that helped with the smooth running of the event and congratulated Jayne, Lyn, Zoe and Judy on their well deserved win.

Ladies Open Age League: (Fixture 17) Due to inclement weather only one match was played on Friday 4 July; this was the match between Breagle Glen B and South Ramsey with South winning 5-4 on games (165-116), points difference was helped by four of South’s games being won to single figures. Closest game of the match was between Roz Cannon and South’s Judy Kelly with Roz getting over the line 21-18. The rearranged match between Castletown A and Marown B was played on Tuesday 8 July. The Castletown ladies were on form winning 8-1, dropping only one point (188-111). Lone winner for Marown was Celia Joughin who got the point needed to win 21-20 against Tracy Moore. Marown’s Lisa Pugh narrowly miss out winning when she lost to 18 against Kellie Maddrell. Another rearranged game from fixture 17 was played on Wednesday 9 July when Nobles hosted Peel. Match finished 6-3 to Nobles but the points were tied at 146 each with Peel’s Emilie Moss and Mary Moffatt winning their games to single figures, as did Lisa Bradshaw for Nobles. Closest game resulted in a 21-18 win for Joanne Kelly against Peel’s Shirley Corrin. Rearranged game between Ballaugh B and Breagle Glen A was played on Monday 14 July resulting in a 7-2 win for Breagle (174-147) with Katy Williams from Breagle being the only player to win her game to single figures. A hard fought game took place between Ballaugh’s Elaine Fenton and Breagle’sMargie Tasker with Margie eventually crossing the line 21-20. Remaining matches from fixture 17 are being played at a later date.

On Friday 11 July, (fixture 18) Castletown A travelled to Peel coming away with an 8-1 win (172-122).  Alison Kearsley and Stella Watterson, plus Peel’s only winner Mary Moffatt, all won their games to single figures. Val Allwood nearly made the scoreline 7-2 when she lost to 19 against Town’s Hilary Kermode. Mooragh Park A had a comfortable 7-2 win (176-98) at home to neighbours Ballaugh B with five of the Mooragh ladies winning to single figures, as did Gail Corrin for Ballaugh. A nip and tuck game resulted in a 21-20 win for Ballaugh’s charlotte Neesom against Katie Johnson. Ballaugh A also had a good 7-2 home win (178-98) against Marown B with three of Ballaugh ladies winning to single figures. Marown’s Marown’s Jo Kelly had a tough game against Sherriee Pedley with Jo eventually winning 21-18. Castletown B hosted Breagle Glen B winning 5-4 on games (154-133). Town’s Sue Peach, Joy Stephens and Judith Moore, plus Alison Stockham for Breagle all won to single figures, with Angela Bennett just missing out on a win for Breagle when losing to 19 against Marie Ashurst. Breagle Glen A also won 7-2 (167-135) at home to Nobles with four games being won to single figures. Colese Creer for Nobles put in a valiant effort when losing to 20 against Linda Dawson. South Ramsey played Douglas at home winning 5-4 on games (158-112). Points tally for South was helped by four of their players winning to single figures, as did Paula Garrett for Nobles. A tough battle took place between South’s Kim Hargraves and Douglas’s Harley Garrett with Harley getting the point needed to win 21-20. Wednesday evening (fixture 19) saw two 8-1 wins being scored. First of these was by Marown A away to Breagle Glen B with the Crosby ladies dropping only five points (184-96) greatly helped by five games being won to single figures. Stopping the full house was Alison Stockham who won to 16 against Lisa Pugh.  Second 8-1 scoreline and dropping only four points(185-112) were the South Ramsey ladies who were away to Ballaugh B; again result was helped by three of South’s wins being won to single figures.  Lone winner for Ballaugh was Karen Young who came back from being well down against Helen Caley to win 21-17.  Castletown A were at home to Breagle Glen A winning the match 7-2 and dropping only three points (186-118) with Town’s Jenny Saunders and Hannah Kermode winning their games to single figures. Two winners for Breagle were Margie Tasker and Mavis Franks who won to 19 and 20 against Kim Foy and Hilary Kermode. Mooragh Park visited Nobles coming away with a 5-4 win and by 26 points (159-133). Janet Monk, Katie Johnson and Bailey McMullan for Mooragh plus Joanne Kelly for Nobles all won to single figures with Lacey McMullan just missing out on a win for the northerners when she lost to 20 against Colese Creer. Peel won 5-4 (155-122) away at Marown B with four of Peel’s ladies winning to single figures as did Rosie Winckle for Marown. A close game between Marown’s Martha Butler and Jo Corkill resulted in a 21-20 win for Jo. Douglas took on Castletown B at home winning 5-4 on games (155-114); again win was helped by five of the Villa ladies winning to single figures as did Sue Inch for the southerners with Debra Cooper for Breagle managing to cross the line 21-20 against Rebecca Jacobs.

Re-arranged game from fixture 14 between Mooragh Park A and Marown took place on Thursday 17 July resulting in a 5-4 win for the Crosby ladies (170-147). Two close games saw Lynda Cadamy win to 19 against Lacey McMullan with Madison McMullan for Mooragh winning 21-20 against Philippa Taylor.

Ladies Over 60s League: On Tuesday 1 July, Finch Hill ladies scored their second maximum of the season away to Mooragh Park B (126-50) with their first maximum being at home to the same team.  All games apart from one were won to single figures with Mooragh’s Peggy Freeman just missing out on a win for her team when she lost to 17 against Anne Hon. Onchan had a good 5-1 home win (124-88) against Ballaugh B. Stopping a full house was Alison Millard who won to 19 against Wendy McDowell. Ballaugh nearly made the scoreline 4-2 when Brenda Clayton lost to 20 against Caroline Heathcote. Breagle Glen A appear to be gathering momentum as the season goes winning 5-1 (121-80) against stablemates Breagle Glen B. Lone winner for the B team was Jacqui Elliott who won to 16 against Alison Stockham with Mavis Franks for the A team being the only player to win to single figures. Another team on form are the Nobles ladies who visited Peel coming away with a 4-2 win (119-77) with Paula Firth and Sue Gawne for Nobles winning their games to single figures. The two winners for Peel were Joyce Kelly and Shirley Corrin, who won to 17 and 18 against Libby Andrade and Dee Lewis. The improving new team of South Ramsey B made their way south to Castletown B losing 4-2 on games and by only three points (95-92). Marie Ashurst for Town and Sue Collier for South both won to single figures with Jackie Murley, the other winner for South, winning to 10 against Sheila Preston. Ballaugh A hosted Castletown A and although the match finished three all, Ballaugh won on points (118-87). Score for Ballaugh was helped by Christine McDonald winning her game to single figures. Closest game of the match saw Hilary Kermode get the point needed to win 21-20 against Ballaugh’s Beryl Bridson. South Ramsey A put in a good performance winning 5-1 (111-79) at home to neighbours Mooragh Park A. Janet Monk was the sole winner for Mooragh winning her game to single figures, as did Joyce Ogden and Elaine Moore for South. Judy Kelly for South had a good tussle with Elaine Slack eventually winning to 17. The following morning Marown visited Breagle Glen C coming away with a 4-2 win (111-82) with Kath Parker and Philippa Taylor for the Crosby ladies winning their games to single figures. Edwina Reid and Kay Primrose-Smith were the two winners for Breagle winning to 16 and 11 against Gill Christian and Sue Hammond. 

On Thursday morning, Nobles put in a solid performance at home to Breagle Glen A winning 5-1 (118-87) with Paula Garrett and Jo Smith winning their games to single figures. Stopping the whitewash was Mavis Franks who won to 13 against Sylvia Kennaugh. Trish Bull and Linda Dawson for Breagle just missed out on wins for their team when they lost to 18 and 17 against Paula Firth and Caroline Corlett. Marown A were also on form winning 5-1 and dropping only two points (124-96) at home to Ballaugh A. Lone winner for Ballaugh was Julie Reilly who won to 19 against Celia Joughin. Two nip and tuck games saw Crosby’s Lyn Bolton and Elaine Dewhurst both cross the line 21-19 against Christine McDonald and Pat Mason. Mooragh Park A won 4-2 at home (113-79) to Onchan. Karen McGurgan and Janet Monk for Mooragh both won their games to single figures whilst the two winners for Onchan were Jane Lothian and Maureen Payne who won their games to 12 and 17 against Joy Morris and Lynn Mayers. Home derby between Breagle Glen B and C resulted in a three all draw with the C team winning on points (76-101). The three winners for the C team all won to single figures as did Jacqui Elliott for the B team. The other two winners for the B won to 14 and 16. Ballaugh B were at home to Castletown B winning 4-2 (113-97) with Gail Curphey for Ballaugh being the only player to win to single figures. A good tussle took place between Ballaugh’s Carol Holt and Town’s Pat Rigby with Carol scoring the final point to win 21-20. Castletown A played host to Mooragh Park B scoring a full house (126-42). Unfortunately, the Mooragh ladies were a player short. Sue Wilshaw, Jenny Saunders and Hilary Kermode all won to single figures whilst Mooragh’s Diane Robinson put in a spirited performance before losing to 16 against Anne Oates. Peel ladies travelled east to South Ramsey B coming away with a 5-1 win (114-64). Sue Collier was the only winner for South winning her game to single figures, as did Val Allwood, Shirley Corrin and Joyce Kelly for Peel. Closest game of the match saw South’s Ann Gale lose to 15 against Terry Berry. Finch Hill were at home to South Ramsey A with the match finishing three all but South took the win on points (93-79). Finch’s Brenda Williams had a good game against Lorraine Moore finishing strong at the end to win 21-14.

Ladies Open Age League: Last Wednesday evening, Castletown  ‘A’ put in a solid away performance at Nobles winning 7-2 on games and dropping only eleven points (116-178); score was helped by four of Town’s players winning to single figures. Two winners for Nobles were Jo Smith and Libby Andrade who won to 12 and 19 respectively against Tracy Moore and Jenny Saunders. Tina Hampson for Nobles just missed out on another win for her team when she lost to 19 against Kellie Maddrell. Peel also had a good away win at Douglas when they won 7-2 (128-173) with Louise Horsfall and Niamh Stringer for Peel plus Mel Molesworth for Douglas winning their games to single figures. Closest games saw Douglas’s Erin Quayle just pip Emilie Moss 21-20 and Emma Sayle crossing the line 21-19 against Gill Clarke. Ballaugh B were at home to Marown B winning 5-4 on games and by four points (157-153). Karen Young for Ballaugh and Celia Joughin for Marown both won their games to single figures. Ballaugh’s Maggie Hughes managed to cross the line 21-18 against Martha Butler. Ballaugh A made their way to Castletown B coming away with a 5-4 win (143-165). Town’s Sue Peach and Ballaugh’s Maria Dimsdale both won to single figures. Two closely contested games saw Town’s Sarah Morgan and Chelsea Taylor both win to 19 against Rose Waterworth and Elena Dimsdale. The following evening Marown A put in a strong home performance against South Ramsey winning 7-2 on games (171-128).  Debbie Leece for the Crosby ladies plus Gill Dixon for South won to single figures. The other winner for South was Fiona Kennish who won 21-15 against Lynda Cadamy. Two other close games saw Marown’s Clare Cooper and Rebekah Kelly win to 17 and 18 against Jenny Moore and Judy Kelly. Result from match between Breagle Glen B vs Breagle Glen A awaited. 

On Friday evening, Marown A were again on form scoring a full house (189-102) away to Castletown B with Clare Cooper, Helen Withers and Lyn Bolton all winning to single figures.  Town’s Sue Peach and Sue Wilshaw just missed out on winning their games when they lost to 19 and 18 against Philippa Taylor and Jayne Smith. Mooragh Park also put in a strong home performance when they won 7-2 at home against Breagle Glen B (178-91) with four of Mooragh’s ladies winning to single figures.  Two winners for Breagle were Ros Cannon and Angie Bennett who won to 18 and 13.  Another 7-2 win was scored by Breagle Glen A at home to Douglas (166-137). Katy Williams for Breagle won her game to single figures, as did Mel Molesworth for Douglas. A tough battle took place between Breagle’s Trish Bull and Jane  Lothian with Trish just getting the point needed to win 21-20.  Another team on form was Peel who won 8-1 (184-130) at home against Ballaugh B.  Stopping the full house was Rachel Thomas who won to 16 against Lilien Lilienfeld.  Two close games saw Diane Fleming and Maggie Jakeman for Peel win to 18 and 19 against Karen Young and Sandra Buckeridge. Its not very often a match is won on games but drawn on points, but it happened this evening when Marown B played Nobles at home. Marown won 5-4 on games but match was tied on points (151-151). Crosby’s Grace Cooper and Paula Firth for Nobles both won their games to single figures. Over 60s Ladies League: Thursday morning saw Castletown A on form again scoring a maximum at home to Breagle Glen C. Unfortunately, Breagle were a player short with the remaining games, apart from one, being won to single figures. Only player to get into double figures for Breagle was Susan Inch who lost to 11 against Sue Peach. Three of the morning’s matches were won 5-1; the first being South Ramsey A who visited neighbours Mooragh Park B (63-121). Stopping the whitewash was Peggy Freeman who won to 16 against Gillian Jopson. Second team to win 5-1 and dropping six points, were the Nobles ladies at home to Castletown B (120-56). The player for Town stopping the full house was Marie Ashurst who won to 15 against Jo Smith. Third team to win 5-1 was Onchan away at South Ramsey B (68-112). Sole winner for South was Sue Collier who won her game to single figures. Just missing out on another win for South was  Ann Gale when she lost to 20 against Sue McCourt. Breagle Glen B hosted Peel winning the match 4-2 and by six points (116-110).  Closest games saw Breagle’s Jacqui Elliot and Angela Bennett both win to 18 against Lynda Wilson and Joyce Kelly. Another close match resulted in Finch Hill winning 4-2 home and by nine points when they played Ballaugh A. Two winners for Ballaugh were Rose Waterworth who won to single figures and Alison Millard who won to 13 against Ann Hon. A good home performance saw Marown A win 4-2 on games (107-94) against Breagle Glen A. Breagle’s Linda Dawson was the only player to win to single figures. A nip and tuck game resulted in a 21-17 win for Marown’s Rosie Winckle against Trish Bull. Mooragh Park A also won 4-2 away to Ballaugh B. Unfortunately, Ballaugh B were two players short. Two winners for Ballaugh were Brenda Clayton and Ann Kinvig who 14 and 9 against Lynn Mayers and Gillian Malpass.

The British Crown Green Ladies Veterans Championship was held on Tuesday 24 June in Shrewsbury, UK, over four greens – Meole Brace Green 1 & 2, Hanwood BC and Bicton BC. Competition was played as a round robin format of four groups with each group consisting of four county teams (8 players plus a reserve) with the winner of each group progressing through to the semi-finals and then final. The IOM Ladies Veterans team of Alison Stockham, Margie Tasker, Caroline Whitehead, Lynda Cadamy, Sue Gawne, Hilary Kermode, Elaine Moore, Sue Collier and Judy Kelly, was drawn in Group C along with Yorkshire, Merseyside B and Lancashire playing on Meole Brace No.2 green. The first match pitted the IOM against the highly fancied Yorkshire Team. The green was tricky, in that it was quite slow in places but fast in some especially when playing along or towards the edge of the green. Despite a spirited performance by our Manx ladies, Yorkshire won 6-2 (106-77). Second match saw the Island ladies play Lancashire – like their first game, they played well but lost 5-3 (111-78).  Our ladies put in a sterling performance in their final group match when they took on Merseyside, drawing four all on games but winning on points (102-88). Unfortunately this was not enough to see them through to the semis. Not losing a group game, Yorkshire went through to the semis.

In the semi-finals, Yorkshire played their rivals South Yorkshire winning 6-2 (112-91). The other semi-final saw Greater Manchester take on the Welsh ladies.  Although this match finished 4 all, Greater Manchester won on points (102-93).   The final was played on Meole Brace No.2 green and with both teams playing well, the spectators were treated to some fine bowling with Yorkshire eventually winning 5-3 (113-81).

Ladies Open Age League: A return to playing on the Friday evening of festival week resulted in solid 8-1 home wins for both Castletown A and South Ramsey. Castletown A took on Ballaugh B (176-104) with three of Town’s ladies winning to single figures. Stopping a full house was Alison Millard who won to 8 against Stella Watterson. Closest game saw Chris Price for Castletown having a nip and tuck game against Elaine Fenton before running out 21-17. 

South Ramsey were at home to Castletown B (176-109) with Marie Ashurst stopping the whitewash when she won 21-8 against Gillian Jopson. Sue Kerruish and Rachel Palmer just missed out on wins for the Town ladies when they lost to 19 and 18 respectively against Joyce Ogden and Sue Collier. 

Nobles visited Ballaugh A coming away with a 5-4 win but losing on points (141-148). Julie Reilly and Louise Tebay for Ballaugh plus Jo Kelly for Nobles all won to single figures. Best game of the night saw Grace Gawne for Nobles eventually winning 21-19 after a good tussle with Caroline Parker. Douglas made their way west to Marown B coming away winning 6-3, but losing on points (149-156). Marown’s points total was helped greatly by Rosie Winckle and Celia Joughin winning to 2 and 1. The third winner for the Crosby ladies was Grace Cooper who after a good battle with Mel Molesworth managed to cross the line 21-20. Another 21-20 game saw Nobles Pauline Cowley pip Elaine Dewhirst to the winning post. Peel played host to Breagle Glen B winning the match 6-3 (170-119). Gill Clarke, Jo Corkill, and Louise Horsfall plus Jacqui Elliot for Breagle all won to single figures. The other two wins for Breagle were hard fought games with both Hannah Leece and Jean Thackrah winning 21-20 against Diane Fleming and Emilie Moss with Jean coming back from being 15-5 down to win. The match between Mooragh Park and Marown A has been postponed to a later date.

The British Crown Green Dorothy Piearce Memorial Ladies Doubles qualifier was held on Sunday at Finch Hill Bowling Club with an entry of 10 pairs. The weather was extremely changeable throughout the afternoon but it didn’t deter some excellent bowling being played. Getting through to the semi-finals were Jenny Moore and Fiona Kennish (South Ramsey), Philippa Taylor and Joyce Ogden (Marown/South Ramsey), Louise Tebay and Maria Dimsdale (Ballaugh), plus Helen Withers and Lyn Bolton (Marown). 

The first semi-final pitted Jenny and Fiona against Philippa and Joyce with the South pair progressing through with a comfortable 21-9 win. Second semi-final was a tighter affair with Helen and Lyn eventually overcoming the challenge of Louise and Maria to win 21-18. 

In the final, Jenny and Fiona were first out of the blocks and maintaining their momentum won 21-10. Many congratulations to Jenny and Fiona on their win.  It is hoped both Jenny and Fiona, and Helen and Lyn will represent the Isle of Man at the Dorothy Piearce Finals being held on Saturday 9 August at Dudley Dell, Staffordshire. Thanks to Finch Hill Bowling Club for the use of their green and providing refreshments throughout the afternoon and to Chris Holland, Ladies Competition Secretary and her team on the smooth running of the competition.

Jo Smith, Colese Creer and Joanne Kelly all won to 8 for Nobles while the two winners for Ballaugh were Maggie Hughes and Sandra Buckeridge who won to 12 and 17 respectively. Marown A travelled south to Breage Glen A coming away losing on games (5-4) but winning on points (151-153). Caroline Whitehead for Breagle and Clare Cooper for the Crosby ladies both won to single figures. Closest game of the match saw Breagle’s Pauline Worrall cross the finish line 21-19 against Philippa Taylor. Ballaugh A were at home to neighbours South Ramsey winning 6-3 on games (163-152). South’s Kim Hargraves was the only player to win her game to single figures whilst the closest game saw South’s Jenny Moore just pip Rose Waterworth 21-20.   Mooragh Park  were at home against Castletown B winning the match 7-2 (160-106).  Two winners for Castletown were Marie Ashurst who won to 1 and Joy Stephen who won to 12. Mooragh’s Bailey McMullan had a nip and tuck game with Rachel Palmer eventually winning 21-17. Breagle Glen B travelled to Marown B losing 5-4 on games and points (144-128). Grace Cooper and Enya Christian for Marown plus Alison Stockham and Jacqui Elliott for Breagle all won to single figures. Closest scoring game resulted in a 21-15 win for Marown’s Jo Kelly against Hannah Leece.

Castletown A made their way to Peel coming away with a three all draw but winning on points (114-91). Kath Kinley for Town was the only player to win her game to single figures with the three winners for Peel all winning 21-17. Marown put in a solid away performance at Castletown B winning 5-1 (120-58) with four of Marown’s wins being won to single figures.  Saving a whitewash was Marie Ashurst who won to 15 against Gill Christian. Ballaugh A hosted neighbours South Ramsey B winning 5-1 (113-86). Brenda Bowyer for Ballaugh plus Sue Collier for South won their games to single figures while Anne Buck just missed out on winning another game for South when she lost to 17 against Carol Holt. Breagle Glen B travelled to Onchan winning 4-2 on games but losing on points (101-97). Maureen Payne for Onchan and Jacqui Elliot for Breagle won their games to single figure while the closest game of the match saw Jean Thackrah eventually winning to 19 against Caroline Heathcote. South Ramsey A were at home to Ballaugh A winning 5-1 (117-82). South’s Elaine Moore and Sister-in-law Lorraine Moore both won their games to single figures. Lone winner for Ballaugh was Michele Cubbon who won to 12 against Gillian Jopson. The following morning (Wednesday) saw Mooragh Park B travel south to Breagle Glen C coming away with a three all draw but just missing out on points (100-91). Steph Swift for Breagle and Lynda Brew for Mooragh had a nip and tuck game with Lynda just taking the game 21-19. Win Collister (Breagle) and Mary Bruce (Mooragh) both won to single figures. Last Thursday morning saw three maximums being scored. First of these was Ballaugh A at home to Mooragh Park B (126-40). Only one game went into double figures when Barbara Graham won to 11 against Peggy Freeman. Second maximum was by Mooragh Park A at home to South Ramsey B (126-56) which was helped by three of Mooragh’s wins being won to single figures. Highest scoring game saw South’s Georgina Bellamy lose to 13 against Lynn Myers. Third maximum of the morning was scored by Nobles away to Onchan (126-63). Dee Lewis and Sue Gawne won their games to singles figures whilst Onchan just missed on a win when Caroline Heathcote lost to 17 against Marilyn Ellison.  Marown travelled the short distance to Peel coming away with a three all draw but winning on points (86-91). Joyce Kelly and Terry Berry for Peel, plus Lyn Bolton and Philippa Taylor for Marown all won to single figures. Closest game saw Peel’s Beverely Wilson cross the line 21-14 against Gill Christian. Breagle Glen A put in a good home performance against Castletown A winning 4-2 (116-97). Caroline Whitehead for Breagle was the only player to win to single figures. Trish Bull for Breagle had a good battle with Kath Kinley eventually winning the game 21-19. Breagle Glen B travelled to Castletown B putting in a solid performance winning 5-1 (119-74). Voirrey Curphey for Breagle was the only player to win to single figures whilst the highest scoring game resulted in a 21-15 win for Breagle’s Angela Bennett against Marie Ashurst. South Ramsey A were at home to neighbours Ballaugh B winning 5-1 (119-67). Saving the whitewash was Brenda Bowyer who won to 14 against Judy Kelly. Friday morning resulted in a solid 5-1 home win for Breagle Glen C against Finch Hill (114-79). Breagle’s Roz Cannon an Kay Primrose-Smith plus Finch’s lone winner, Brenda Williams, all won to single figures. A very close game saw Edwina Reid for Breagle win to 20 against Iris Kermode.
