JMS Veterans Shield Competition
The JMS Veterans Shield competition got underway last week (handicaps in brackets). After six pre-liminary matches being played on Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th September, quarter finals were played on Thursday 11th September resulting in wins for Mooragh Park A (+37) who won 4-2 way at South Ramsey B (+35), overall points score 139-113; Marown (+20) who won 5-1 at home against Mooragh Park B, overall points 139-128; Breagle Glen A (+21) who won 4-2 at home against Onchan (+42) overall points score 140-110, and Castletown A (+27) who although drew on games won on points at home against South Ramsey A (+22) overall points tally 142-121.
Semi-finals to be played on Tuesday 16th September:
Draw: Breagle Glen A vs Mooragh Park A – Venue Finch Hill
Castletown A vs Marown – Venue The Villa
Final to be played on Thursday 18th September – Venue to be confirmed
